Job Description

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college.
  • Holds or is eligible for a teaching license, with an endorsement in the appropriate subject area.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of subject content, specialized curriculum, and individualized methodologies for effective teaching tailored to diverse learning needs.
  • Skilled in the use of multi-media and assistive technology to enhance learning for students with diverse needs.
  • Able to establish and maintain effective collaborative relationships with students, colleagues, administrators, and parents.
  • Demonstrates skill in oral and written communications and excellent human relations skills.

Position Specific Requirements:

  • Prepare a wide variety of written materials (e.g. progress reports, individualized education plans and related documents such as notice of meeting, prior written notice, etc.)
  • Communicate clearly, concisely, and professionally in all written and oral language
  • Development, implement, and oversee implementation of individualized education programs to ensure that a student is receiving a free, appropriate, public education.
  • Communicate with multidisciplinary team members to ensure timely and quality services.
  • Complete comprehensive documentation of all services as required by the contract district’s policies and procedures.
  • Document and complete all billing requirements for such services as required by the contract district’s policies and procedures.
  • Apply current research and theory to inform programming and decision-making.
  • Provide direction and supervision of district personnel (such as paraprofessionals or new teachers) in the provision of services under the rules and regulations of any State or Federal guidelines, in addition to Quantum’s policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
