Nine Eight Central, a digital marketing company in Greenville, SC, is looking for a full-time Social Media Manager to join our team.

You’re the kind of person who doesn’t mindlessly scroll social...you study it. 

You’re obsessed with finding the perfect caption, the right emoji, or the moment in a video that’ll stop someone mid-scroll.

You get excited about a blank content calendar and can fill it with smart, on-brand ideas that feel fresh, timely, and engaging. You love writing and designing posts. You're not afraid of a scheduling platform or an analytics dashboard. 

You’re organized, not overwhelmed by details, and you know how to juggle multiple accounts without dropping a ball. You thrive when you’re collaborating with creative people and love contributing to a team effort that makes the client look amazing online.

RESPONSIBLE FOR

Content + Scheduling

• Creating monthly content calendars with written post copy and corresponding graphics
• Scheduling and publishing posts across multiple platforms: Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, Twitter, YouTube, etc.
• Writing creative, strategic captions that align with each client’s voice and goals
• Customizing content per platform based on best practices and audience behavior
• Creating creative briefs for designers and editors when needed
• Maintaining and improving internal SOPs for content production and publishing

Community + Engagement

• Performing daily community management: responding to comments and messages
• Collaborating with the strategist and team to build online communities, not just pages

Reporting + Optimization

• Researching opportunities for audience growth
• Staying up to date with social platform updates, trends, and tools

Collaboration + Communication

• Brainstorming ideas with the strategist, directors, and post-production team
• Assisting with project management to ensure content stays on track
• Supporting video shoots as needed
• Communicating with clients in a professional, timely manner
• Exploring new ways to use AI and automation to improve performance and efficiency
• Managing and maintaining social media management tools and recommending new ones as needed

QUALIFICATIONS

• 3+ years of professional experience managing multiple social media accounts
• Experience writing and scheduling content across all major platforms
• Excellent writing and visual communication skills
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Comfort with analytics, AI tools, automation, and reporting
• Thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
• A passion for staying ahead of social trends

SALARY + HOURS

$45,000–$55,000 per year (based on experience)

40 hours per week on average. Some weeks may be busier than others.
