Quality Assurance Coordinator/Analyst

On-site: Rancho Cucamonga

Hours: 6:30am to 3:30pm

The Quality Assurance Coordinator II is a more advanced role, requiring several years of experience in quality assurance. This position demands specialized knowledge in QA and the ability to handle complex projects. The role involves supervising 1-2 employees and requires in-depth analysis, evaluation of systems, leading corrective actions, and direct interactions with other departments to ensure quality standards are met. The QA Coordinator II will have more autonomy and be responsible for making significant decisions affecting the quality assurance processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage quality assurance processes within the organization, ensuring adherence to standards, procedures, and regulations.
  • Develop and implement quality control procedures to monitor and maintain product or service quality, including inspections, testing, and evaluation.
  • Define, track, and analyze key quality metrics to assess performance and identify areas for improvement. Generate regular reports and presentations for management review.
  • Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with quality standards, regulations, and industry best practices. Coordinate external audits and inspections as necessary.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation related to quality assurance activities, including procedures, specifications, test results, and corrective actions.
  • Provide training and support to employees on quality assurance processes, standards, and tools. Identify training needs and develop training materials as required.
  • Lead or participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. Implement corrective and preventive actions to address root causes of quality issues.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to ensure the quality of incoming materials and components. Establish quality requirements and performance metrics for suppliers, and conduct supplier audits as necessary.
  • Collect and analyze customer feedback and complaints to identify trends and areas for improvement. Develop and implement strategies to address customer concerns and enhance satisfaction.
  • Identify potential quality risks and develop strategies to mitigate them. Implement risk management processes to proactively address quality-related issues.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as Production, Engineering, and Sales, to ensure a coordinated approach to quality assurance and problem resolution.
  • Stay informed about relevant regulations and industry standards pertaining to quality assurance. Ensure that the organization remains compliant with all applicable requirements.
  • Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of quality management systems, such as API Spec Q1 and ISO 9001, or industry-specific standards.
  • Lead or participate in root cause analysis investigations to identify underlying causes of quality issues and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Manage quality assurance projects, including planning, resource allocation, and monitoring progress to ensure timely and successful completion.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree- Quality Management- preferred ( or equivalent experience)
  • Demonstrates strong leadership skills
  • Five plus years’ previous experience (metal manufacturing is a plus)
  • Strong verbal and written skills
  • Able to work to tight deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and able to work independently as well as part of an effective team
  • QMS Training (API Q1, ISO 9001 or comparable)
  • Internal Audit Training (API Q1 is a plus)
  • Quality Assurance Management Training (class/seminar)
  • Quality Assurance Risk Assessment Training (class/seminar)
