Job Description

Probate + Guardianship Administration Team Leade r -- Pankauski Lazarus has an immediate opening for 5 + year probate lawyer for estate and guardianship administration . This is NOT a litigation position nor an estate planning nor drafting position.

• Leadership position at boutique firm needs to be filled asap. Work with a group of helpful, collegial professionals, supported by 2 paralegals, in positive environment which balances life and work.
• This is an “ 8-5” job, no weekends or nights.
• Remote work available.
• Thorough understanding of probate and guardianship rules and statutes required. Your experience and confidence permit you to work independently but with support for “opening” estates and guardianships, monitoring progress until completion and closing . We are not a mill with hundreds of probates. You will be in charge of a limited number of probates and guardianships.
• No will or trust drafting, no estate planning.
• No tax background needed; no accountings; no LLM required.
• No business development requirements
• No litigation experience needed. This is not a litigation position.
• No client base required
• This is an ideal position for the probate lawyer who enjoys being an attorney and enjoys the probate practice area, but would like more flexibility while still being properly compensated with a great salary and bonus eligibility.
• This is a “no-stress” environment. We don’t keep nasty clients. All of our firm members are polite, respectful and professional and help each other out.
• We work hard and enjoy what we do, but this is not a sweat shop nor a mill.
• Very reasonable billable hours/ accountability requirements.
