Job Description

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Payroll Specialist with certified payroll experience to join our team in Fresno, CA . This position is responsible for managing the full payroll cycle, ensuring accurate and timely processing while maintaining compliance with labor laws and company policies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll for hourly and salaried employees.

• Handle certified payroll reporting as required by company or client standards.

• Maintain accurate employee payroll records, including wages, deductions, and tax withholdings.

• Ensure payroll transactions are processed correctly and timely.

• Respond to employee questions regarding pay, timecards, and deductions.

• Work closely with HR and Accounting to ensure alignment between systems and accurate reporting.

• Assist with payroll tax filings, W-2s, 1099s, and year-end payroll procedures.

• Stay current with payroll laws and best practices to ensure compliance.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of payroll experience, including certified payroll .

• Strong understanding of payroll processing, labor regulations, and timekeeping systems.

• Experience with payroll software such as ADP, Paychex, QuickBooks, or similar platforms.

• High attention to detail with excellent organizational and communication skills.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain confidentiality.

Preferred:

• Experience working in construction, manufacturing, or similar industries.

• Familiarity with job costing and union payroll is a plus.

• Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus.
