Summary:
Dentons Cohen & Grigsby is seeking a Payroll Specialist to support payroll operation and the accounting department. We are looking for candidates who are ready to work toward their long-term goals of developing and growing at DCG.
Responsibilities:
·Prepare, review, and verify both mid-month and end-of-month payroll utilizing ADP, our software payroll system.
·Process payroll for new hires, terminations, current employee deduction changes, and time and attendance while maintaining employee confidentiality.
·Generate and analyze payroll reports for payroll processing, including summaries and registers of gross/net pay, taxes withheld, employee deductions, and other key metrics.
·Recognize errors and suggest ways to improve payroll efficiency.
·Communicate and work closely with the Human Resources Department.
Qualifications/Requirements:
The successful candidate should possess (but not limited to) the following qualifications.
· Preferred Qualification - Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field and/or 1-3 years of experience in payroll operations.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel;
· Requested (not required) experience with ADP, payroll software system;
·Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy (analytical skills);
·Excellent organizational skills;
·Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize deadlines;
·Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with employees in both the Accounting and Human Resource departments; and
·Exceptional problem-solving abilities.
