Job Title: Payroll Coordinator (Temp to Hire / Direct Hire)
Location: Culver City, CA (On-Site)
Pay Rate: Up to $33.00 per hour
Experience: 4 to 8 years of payroll processing experience
Schedule: Monday to Friday, Early Start Time (7:00 AM, 7:30 AM, or 8:00 AM)
Job Summary
We are looking for a highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented Payroll Coordinator to join our team. This role involves processing weekly payroll for multi-state operations and requires someone who can work independently and is skilled in handling payroll data with precision. The ideal candidate will have 4 to 8 years of experience in payroll processing, strong attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities
Process weekly payroll for multiple states accurately and in a timely manner.
Review and verify payroll data to ensure accuracy before processing.
Handle any payroll discrepancies and assist employees with payroll-related inquiries.
Work independently with a high level of responsibility and attention to detail.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations.
Assist in preparing and filing payroll-related documents and reports.
Maintain confidentiality and security of all payroll data.
Perform other payroll-related tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
4 to 8 years of payroll processing experience, preferably in a multi-state environment.
Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
Proficient in payroll software, Microsoft Excel, and other office applications.
Experience working in a fast-paced environment with high attention to deadlines.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Knowledge of federal and state payroll laws and compliance regulations.
Proactive and self-motivated with a problem-solving mindset.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Some college coursework in accounting, business, or a related field is a plus.
