Job Description

AZ HR Hub is lookingi for an experienced Part-Time Payroll Specialist who has strong payroll processing experience. This role will be processing weekly and bi-weekly payroll for multipe companies utilizing a variety of payroll systems such as ADP and Paylocity.

This is a remote position but must currently reside in the metro Phoenix area .

What will I be doing?

  • Responsible for processing weekly and bi-weekly lpayroll for 20-200+ employees (both exempt and non-exempt).
  • Process payroll account transactions (e.g. salaries, benefits, garnishments, deductions, taxes and third party payments) according to payroll schedule.
  • Oversee compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations related to prevailing wage and certified payroll reporting.
  • Oversee processing of payroll changes (e.g. terminations, changes to direct deposit, new addresses) and system upgrades.
  • Partner with internal teams and accounting/finance team to ensure proper and accurate processing of payrolls and taxes.
  • Audit responsibilities include reconciliation of monthly and pay period payroll reports, preliminary payroll audits, flexible spending, 401(k) and any other payroll related benefits with the appropriate parties.
  • Track and enroll new hires in company benefits as needed; make changes/terminate benefits of employees as requested.

What skills are we looking for?

  • 5+ years of payroll processing for 200+ employees, ideally multi-state.
  • Ability to handle deadlines with ease and accuracy.
  • Superb organization, attention to detail, and communications skills required!
  • Proactive in nature and focused on results/accomplishments.
  • Advanced computer and Excel skills with proficiency in MS Office.
  • Work independently, but also work as a team, help others.
  • Varied industry experience is a plus.

Required Experience?

  • 5+ years payroll and benefits administration
  • Experience with ADP or Paylocity preferred
  • Multi-state payroll tax processing, filing, and set up
  • Weekly, biweekly, bimonthly payroll experience preferred

Position will start off part-time and may grow into a full time role.
