About the Role: Are you ready to elevate dining experiences and be the star of our hospitality team? As a Part-Time Server at Ashland Hills Hotel, you'll play a crucial role in delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests. Your primary responsibility will be to provide attentive and personalized service, ensuring each guest feels valued and satisfied throughout their meal. You'll collaborate closely with our talented kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate order delivery while addressing any guest inquiries or special requests. Your keen understanding of our menu offerings and ability to make recommendations will enhance the dining experience. Your efforts will contribute to the hotel's reputation for outstanding service and guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet and seat guests in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently.
  • Serve food and drinks to guests, ensuring timely delivery.
  • Monitor guest satisfaction and address any concerns promptly.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service and communication.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a serving role or customer service position.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Food Handlers and O.L.C.C. permits.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a hotel or fine dining restaurant setting.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
  • Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems.

Skills: The required skills for this position include strong communication and interpersonal abilities, which are essential for interacting with guests and ensuring their needs are met. Attention to detail is crucial when taking orders and serving food, as it helps prevent mistakes and enhances the overall dining experience. Time management skills will be utilized daily to balance multiple tables and ensure timely service. Additionally, a positive attitude and teamwork skills are important for collaborating with kitchen staff and other servers to create a seamless dining experience. Preferred skills, such as knowledge of food safety regulations, will help maintain a safe and clean environment for both guests and staff.
