Role Description

As an Exhibit Project Manager, you will oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of custom modular exhibit projects for various events, trade shows, museums or other exhibition venues. You will be responsible for managing all production aspects of the project, from initial planning, launch and delivery. This role requires strong project management skills, attention to detail, creativity and the ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

· Collaborate with sales, design and/or in-house Client Services team to understand project requirements, objectives and constraints.

· Work in tandem with Operations and Estimating to develop project plans, timelines and estimates based on design concepts and resources.

· Research and gather relevant information to inform the design, pricing and production process.

· Coordinate the production of exhibit components, including graphics, signage, multimedia elements and structural elements with the Nimlok production facility or other outside resources.

· Serve as the primary point of contact for vendors and internal team members throughout the production phase.

· Coordinate the logistics of the completed exhibit with the in-house Client Services Manager.

· Manage vendor relationships and oversee procurement of materials and services as they pertain to production.

· Leverage CAD program to generate details, set up drawings and show service layouts.

· Monitor project budgets and expenses, ensuring adherence to financial guidelines and profitability targets.

· Identify and mitigate risks that may impact project or budgets by generating timelines and adherence to them.

· Provide leadership and guidance to project team members, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.

· Communicate project status, milestones and challenges to stakeholders through regular updates and meetings.

· Use highly developed problem-solving and decision-making skills to address issues that arise during production.

Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:

· Works well in a team environment and appreciates a collaborative experience.

· Proven experience managing exhibit production projects, preferably in a creative agency, exhibit design firm, manufacturing or similar environment.

· Strong project management skills, including the ability to plan, organize and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and build relationships with peers and vendors.

· Excellent time manager—ability to coordinate multiple tasks, timelines and priorities simultaneously.

· Hands on working knowledge of cabinet construction/detailing, large format graphic printing and exhibit manufacturing.

· Ability to read blueprints and detailed assembly drawings.

· Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail.

Qualifications & Requirements:

· Bachelor's degree in project management, event management, design, architecture or a related field (or equivalent experience).

· Minimum 5+ years’ experience in production project management skills, including the ability to plan, organize and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.

· Tech-savvy individual with proficiency in Vectorworks and Renderworks, or expert knowledge in comparable programs such as SketchUp, AutoCAD, or 3D Studio Max, as well as Adobe and Microsoft 365 applications (e.g., InDesign, Acrobat, Outlook, Excel, Word).

· Flexibility to travel, as needed.

Physical/Environmental Requirements

· Able to sit, stand or walk around for the length of work shift, up to eight hours.

· Able to work in an open-concept office and warehousing environment with fluctuations in seasonal temperature.

· Able to frequently push, pull, lift and/or move objects up to 10 pounds and occasionally push, pull, lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds.
