Our Challenge:

We are seeking a highly experienced DevOps professional with a robust background in Azure DevOps and provisioning tools such as CloudFormation and Terraform . The ideal candidate will possess a DevOps mindset, demonstrating expertise in continuous integration and continuous deployment best practices.

Additional Information

The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Piscataway is $115k - $125k/year & benefits (see below).

The Role

Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps (both classic and YAML).
  • Maintain the Azure DevOps environment, including agents, projects, Git repositories, and service connections.
  • Create and manage Docker containers for application deployment.
  • Utilize CloudFormation or Terraform for provisioning resources in cloud environments .
  • Develop scripts and automate processes using coding skills (bash, PowerShell, Python, C#, or other high-level languages).
  • Collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure smooth deployment and integration processes.
  • Monitor and optimize system performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise.

Must-Have Skills:

  • DevOps Mindset: Extensive knowledge of continuous integration and continuous deployment best practices.
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years in DevOps/Cloud roles.
  • Azure DevOps: Hands-on experience in Azure DevOps build and release management (both classic pipelines and YAML).
  • Docker: Practical experience in creating and managing Docker containers.
  • Environment Maintenance: Proficiency in maintaining Azure DevOps environments.
  • Provisioning Tools: Several years of hands-on experience with CloudFormation or Terraform.
  • Pipeline Creation: Experience in creating pipelines for provisioning resources in the cloud.
  • Coding Skills: Demonstrated coding abilities in bash, PowerShell, Python, C#, or other high-level languages.
  • Version Control: Proficiency in Git and other version control systems.

Highly Desired Skills:

  • Senior Coder Transition: Experience as a senior coder who has transitioned into a DevOps role.
  • AWS Pipelines: Hands-on experience in creating pipelines to provision resources in AWS.
  • Monitoring Tools: Familiarity with monitoring tools like Datadog, Prometheus, and Grafana.
  • Kubernetes: Experience with container orchestration using Kubernetes.

Soft Skills:

  • Communication: Strong communication skills to effectively convey ideas and collaborate with teams.
  • Collaboration: Proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving abilities to tackle challenges efficiently.
