General Summary This position is primarily responsible for managing the global monthly financial statement close process ensuring accurate and timely reporting of monthly, quarterly and annual financial results for the global operations of the Company. The Company has operations in the US, Canada, EMEA, Oceania and Asia.
Principal Duties And Responsibilities/Essential Functions Initial core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Oversee the monthly global financial statement close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting. Includes: Manage global headquarter accounting team located in Tampa, Work closely with accounting teams in EMEA, Oceania and Asia regions to ensure consistent, timely and accurate financial reporting, Ensure timely and accurate completion of monthly balance sheet, income statement and statement of cash flows in accordance with US GAAP, Ensure timely and accurate completion of global balance sheet reconciliations, Monitor monthly balance sheet fluctuation variances
- Lead annual consolidated financial statement audit with external auditor, including preparation of financial statements and disclosure checklists
- Assist with finance transformation projects, including new ERP and integration and implementation of other finance software tools
- Be key accounting contact for parent company to meet their financial reporting requests, which includes quarterly reporting packages and other ad hoc requests
- Support global tax team on foreign statutory audit requests
- Create a documented system of accounting policies and procedures
- Lead various compliance and internal control efforts
- Assist with other ad-hoc projects
Requirements Education and work experience: - Bachelor's degree (B.A.) in accounting from a four-year college or university
- Minimum of 10 years of experience with mix of public accounting and industry experience in controller type role
Skills And Knowledge - Strong understanding of revenue recognition authoritative guidance for contractual revenue streams
- Experience working with global companies and foreign currency required
- Ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Detail-oriented and work effectively under pressure, while meeting all applicable deadlines
- Ability to work independently and productively with minimum supervision, taking ownership of all tasks assigned
